The Key to Removing Keyloggers

Author: One of the easiest ways for a hacker to obtain your data is through a key-logger. A key-logger, is software (sometimes it can be hardware) that captures a user’s keystrokes. This means they can see everything the user types in. Examples are : passwords, credit cards, and private conversations. I am going to explain a few ways to check for key-loggers on your computer.
1. Prevent key-loggers from being installed
Always be sure to scan files before installing them on your computer. A great place to scan files is http://virustotal.com. Virustotal is a site that checks files for viruses, worms, trojans, and all kinds of malware detected by antivirus engines.
2. Use updated anti-virus or anti-spy-ware software
Most of the time a good anti-virus software will detect most key-loggers. Be sure to keep your software up to date and scan your computer regularly.
3. Use special anti-key-logger software
Sometimes for better results, you can use an anti-key-logger program. One of the most popular anti-key-logger programs is ThreatFire. There are plenty of different anti-key-logger programs to choose from though.
4. Check for key-loggers yourself
If you are a more advanced computer user you can try finding key-loggers your self. You can find them by using registry editor or process explorer. It can get pretty hard to find advanced keyloggers though.
