Gas, first polution, now a front for cybercrime.

Hackers located in Russia have been using a gas company named “GazTranzitStroyInfo LLC” have been using this as a front. They’ve been exploiting web-browsers with the famous exploit known as “Zeus”. Zeus can exploit browsers on a large scale, so stay updated! Due to the fact their hosting is offshore, security professionals are unable to shut down most of their websites, as the hosting company may not comply in the same language, or even at all.

Well, these seem to be the latest and greatest ways for bot masters to spread their malware! We all know that Peer-to-Peer is all about sharing files in which you do not want to pay for. The Infamous Conficker – Update

OK, well here is an informative update to the so called “Conficker” virus. My last article about this virus, was explaining how it is probably a hoax. Well, I was a little off. I was wrong about it being a hoax, but I was right about it not being much different than any other bot (Trojan). It spreads via private exploits (public now). Once a computer is infected, Conficker will scan a random IP range and try to run the exploits against other computers, thus infecting more systems.

Conficker Virus, A Hoax?

Many of you might have heard of the “Conficker” in which supposedly has many exploits in which can breach most Windows Operating Systems quite easily. However, we believe this virus is a complete hoax. The virus supposedly has many machines infected, but if this was true, a security analysis would have found, and traced it’s connection. The original Conficker virus is most probably a hoax, but there have been many replica’s of the virus. Some people have been throwing together a bunch of public exploits in which are meant to cause malicious harm to your computer, but if you have a basic updated anti-virus or firewall application, you’re secure!
